Any Open Sources license specialist? What’s the best open source license that allow the users to do WTF they want EXCEPT selling the code/product or make money with it?
@meduz If so, it is no longer free (as in free speech, not as in free beer) software.
@meduz it won't be an open-source license then – by definition. Check out "source-available" licenses: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Source-available_software
@meduz but that only prevents selling the sw. If you want to exclude all "making money" you probably need a very restrictive proprietary license.
@meduz usually AGPL is enough to strike enough fear into corporations to avoid using it.
otherwise, you risk greatly offending the OSI / FSF defenders on using the term "Open Source" to define your project, since limiting commercial use is a restriction on "freedom zero".
alternatively, you may want to look into "ethical source" licenses, there's a few floating around. Or do something with CC-BY-NC, which would be completely incompatible with commercial usage.
@meduz restrictions on commercial redistribution go against freedoms 2 and 3
